Wai'alae School Orientation for the 2012-2013 school year. Attendance at an Orientation is required for families applying for a Geographic Exception. Families who live within Wai'alae School's "district" are highly encourged to attend an Orientation. For planning purposes, PLEASE REGISTER FOR AN ORIENTATION by "purchasing" a ticket.
As of 2/13/12, we have filled our Junior Kindergarten spaces with "in-district" students and we have a waiting list. At this time, it is unlikely that we will be going to G.E. applicants for Junior Kindergarten (students with birthdays from 8/2/07 to 12/31/07).
As a courtesy to others, we encourage families to make arrangements for childcare if at all possible. We will have guided campus tours beginning in February and children are welcome to attend the campus tours.
For the Wednesday EVENING Orientations, parking is available in the parking lot adjacent to the Wai'alae School Library.
For Wednesday and Friday MORNING Orientations, please park on the school-side of 19th Avenue or in the stalls marked "Visitor" in the parking lot adjacent to the Wai'alae School Library. Additional parking for the Friday Orientations may also be found at Waialae Baptist Church, located one block Koko Head from Wai'alae School. Entrance to the parking lot is located along Harding Avenue. We wish to thank Waialae Baptist Church for graciously allowing us the use of their parking lot.
***PLEASE NOTE: THE LOCATION OF THE FEBRUARY 1ST AND FEBRUARY 8TH ORIENTATIONS HAVE BEEN MOVED TO THE WAI'ALAE SCHOOL DINING HALL***
The Orientations will begin promptly at their scheduled time, please arrive five to ten minutes prior to the start time for sign-in and seating.
